Refining the Industry: Cyma Flow Offers Next Level Sieving Concept with Serious Results

Hauling trash-can sized buckets of ice, water, and weed around in walk-in coolers can use all the modern advances it can get.

However, producers, consumers, and the industry’s best have largely shied away from the modern devices, choosing to stick with the traditional methods of "handwashing.” Cyma Flow has concentrated on what happens after the wash and during filtration to design the perfect companion to hand washed, (or machine washed) vessels.

With solventless refinement manufacturers focused on automating the wash process, few have attempted to redesign the flush or the sieve. Everyone is still forced to rinse, pull, and scrape cannabis trichomes directly from mesh filter-bags, regardless of automated wash systems. Cyma Flow decided to concentrate on the tedious and tiring efforts of constantly cleaning, washing, and drying out filter bags run after run, to develop a whole new system and concept for filtering the wash.

While the system includes five filters in standard sizes, producers can choose from even more. Rather than relying on gravity and plenty of user manipulation to filter, rinse, drain, and pull each mesh filter-bag in a slow and tedious process, Cyma Flow's industry first use of Sound Waves is a fascinating play. Utilizing Magnetic Transducers, which are unaffected by temperature, sound vibrations help filter the hash. The system has no moving parts leading to consistent and endless use without worrying about frozen or broken parts.

Cyma Flow has stacked metal dishes that contain the same sized micron screens as filter bags. Each mesh filter bag that would normally go inside your collection container is replaced by a round stainless-steel dish. These stainless steel "dishes" are stacked in descending order of their micron sizes, the same way filter bags are. The stainless-steel outer dishes keep each filter screen pulled tight and separated from the ones above and below it, allowing water to drain at significantly increased speeds. This design concept alone speeds up the drainage process, even before turning on the industry-first use of sound wave technology to blow the competition away. And guess what? The yields are massive!

After completing the wash, which again can be machine operated or hand-washed, the wash water is pumped through the top of the Cyma Flow stack and sound induction is turned on. Now despite claims that trichomes cannot physically be forced or withheld from making it through mesh filters of appropriate size, Cyma Flow’s research shows that drooping filter bags, especially when stacked one upon another in the wash basin, can close up and clog holes, leading to a slow drain. By drawing the micron specific material tight across each stainless-steel dish, it ensures rapid draining speeds that are honest and consistent in size.

Despite the added surface area of large filter-bags, the usable area ends up being much less than each eight-inch dish. When sound induction is turned on, it allows this dynamic system to be the fastest and most efficient sieve in the game.

Once the water has drained it can be pumped back through the stack, or into additional washes. The catch-tank on the unit can be matched with any size “Bruteless” or however many gallons you desire. The catch tank utilizes ice and hoses wrapped through the ice to keep the wash water ice cold. At a rate of about three gallons per minute, the Cyma Flow can wash 20 gallons of liquid in six minutes. With this type of speed and efficiency you can run each wash numerous times to ensure everything desirable is obtained.
